    Toronto Islands Advocate Bruce Weber Receives Coronation Medal on 84th Birthday

    On March 29, 2025, the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre in Toronto hosted a heartfelt ceremony, honouring Bruce Weber, a dedicated advocate for seniors on the Toronto Islands, with the King Charles III Coronation Medal. The event celebrated Bruce’s exceptional contributions to his community, coinciding with a special milestone—his 84th birthday.

We humbly acknowledge the land on which we operate, known as Tkaronto, the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. We honour the principles of the Dish With One Spoon Covenant and are grateful to work on this land, which continues to be a meeting place for all Indigenous peoples.
